I worked in well testing and flowback for 8 years in the oil and gas industry and I recently moved to Los Angeles for family reasons. Now I'm considering a career shift into Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), since i have often handled safety protocols on site. Anyone here made a similar transition? Looking for advice on certifications, training, and what to expect. Thanks everyone!

Well you already have the hands-on experience, so I doubt it's going to be a difficult transition. I know a few people that made similar kind of switch, so it's doable. OSHA has a certification you'll probably need to have because I think there are some situations where it's required.
